Celebrating two decades of making music accessible to everyone! Join us for the spectacular Symphony Under the Stars FREE Family Concert and be part of this unforgettable anniversary celebration!
The June 6th concert by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra is touted as one of the most anticipated events of the year in the community, drawing well over a thousand families and community members to Main Street for an evening of great food and music.
Fresh lobster rolls and coastal favorites from Cousins Maine Lobster (menu here) will be available on-site from 4:30 - 8:00pm.
Symphony Under the Stars is co-sponsored and supported [in part] by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, which receives support from the Virginia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Meet the Conductor
Praised by the New York Times for his “smart, unusual programming,” Ian Niederhoffer stands out as a “charismatic, enthusiastic and articulate” leader, which, “together with his undeniable skills as a musician, makes for a winning combination” (New York Classical Review).
A recipient of the 2025 Georg Solti Career Assistance Award and a BBC Music Magazine Rising Star for January 2024, Niederhoffer — the winner of three prizes at the 2021 Khachaturian International Conducting Competition — is a confident and expressive communicator of music, context, and ideas.
Meet the Vocalist
Grace Fluharty is a New York based actress who is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre. She is currently represented by DDO Artists and Rikki Dale Management. She recently wrapped the feature film Days Like This with Gemelli Films, starring as Marie. On screen, she also played Lauren Kennedy in the pilot Uptown Girlz and appeared as Felicia in the sitcom Narcissists in NYC. Theatre credits include starring as Chris in Carrie: The Musical at TheatreZone and performing as a featured soloist in the Sondheim Tribute Revue at Peregrine Theatre.
