Brews, Brine & Wine

June 5, 2026

5:00pm ~ 8:00pm

Join us for the kickoff of the Gloucester Art Festival’s 10th anniversary!

Enjoy oysters, beer, wine, and a food truck rally on the York River. Visit with the Plein Air artists who interpret the beautiful surroundings on their canvases, creating small works available for sale at the event. Art, food, and beautiful scenery will make for a lovely evening. Co-hosted by the Fairfield Foundation, Brews, Brine & Wine will be held at the Timberneck House in Machicomoco State Park again this year. Your ticket includes park entry, parking, a commemorative cup, and tickets for 6 raw or steamed oysters, and two tickets for beer or wine.

Timberneck Farm at Machicomoco State Park sits on land that was a part of the Powhatan empire, just downriver from Werowocomoco, home of the paramount chief Powhatan and his daughter Pocahontas. The new state park serves as a “gateway” to the Tsenacommacah region - land that Virginia’s Tribes occupied for hundreds of years before European settlement at Jamestown Island.
