Hosted for the first time by Arts on Main, Art in the Village is a full day of fun for the whole family. Come for the day and stay!
Come for the day and stay for dinner at one of Main Street’s eateries. Experience a truly unique family-friendly day at Art in the Village along Gloucester Main Street. What’s in store? An Artisan Fair in the Courthouse Circle, pop-up art classes for all ages and live music at Arts on Main, art demonstrations at York & Main, explore the new community art space at ArtWork and show your creative side on the Community Art Mural. Stroll down to Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester for the It’s a Wrap Reception starting at 4pm and then stay for dinner at one of the local Main Street eateries.

This exhibit at Arts on Main highlights the beauty and talent of regional artists. Using a wide variety of media, these artists showcase the diversity of local artistic expression and the vibrancy of the year-round arts scene in the Middle Peninsula. Enjoy a $5 Pop Up Art Class! This is family fun for all ages. Make and take an artistic piece that you create. Sit and soak in Melodic Tunes by one of our local musical artists.

Stop by the Side Pocket gallery as Gabrielle Teschner presents “Lap Pool”, a room of dancerly new paper sculptures made with reverence for the pool as both a robust architectural space and a symbol of respite.
The presentation coincides with her residency in Marrakech, where she will be researching courtyard gardens and pools, or bassins.
The exhibit at Side-Pocket Gallery was installed the morning of her departure and serves to showcase the energy of an idea at its most fledgling moment, inviting the viewer to follow its development.

Explore the Outdoor Market, showcasing a diverse range of handcrafted items and talented artists. Park near the Courthouse Colonial Circle and consider this your first destination of the day.
